Over 50 years of Lake Powell
experience. Jerry
"Bubba" Puckett started the fishing guide service
in 1988 and will always be founder and chief
advisor. Jerry's long time friend and partner
Jim Cliburn now owns and operates Bubba's Fishing Guide
Service with his son, Chris Cliburn. The service and
reputation is and has always been the best on Lake Powell. Jim, Chris and their staff will share
their 50 years of Lake Powell experience with you.
We cater to singles, couples,
kids, and families. Jim will customize your trip just
for you. Good Fishing!
You don't need to
bring anything! All you need is a
fishing license and a desire to have fun - Jim and his
experienced staff will take care of everything else.
We will provide all the top quality bait and tackle needed
for an enjoyable and productive fishing day. We
always carry a large supply of premium Gary Yamamoto Custom
Baits in the best styles, shapes and colors that the fish
are hitting at all times.
We will provide
topwater lures, jerk baits, spinnerbaits, spoons, plastic
worms, and hula grubs, and teach you when and where they
work and how you use them. This is the type of fishing
trip that will make you a better fisherman. If you're
looking to refine techniques or learn new ones, this is your
opportunity to really 'dial in' the clear water patterns
that work.
Dress for Success! Lake Powell is 3,700 feet above sea level at
full pool. Mornings and evenings may be cool even in
the summertime. A sweatshirt layered over shorts and a
T-shirt, topped with a windproof shell will provide comfort
almost year-round on Lake Powell. You will need a hat
and sunglasses. Ask for specific recommendations when
booking your trip.
Hungry? Let's Eat! We provide delicious deli lunches prepared
daily to ensure freshness and quality. Plenty of fresh
water, soft drinks and snacks are onboard at all times.
